In September 1992 I had just given my notice at work, was preparing to embark on a career at Mary Kay, had been doing it for about 1 year, and was certain that I could replace my income at my 9-5 job, when I discovered I was pregnant, having 2 EPT's appear positive I made arrangements with a female Nurse Midwife for an appointment to confirm the pregnancy. At the appointment upon performing an ultrasound and finding no fetal-sac, the nurse midwife told me she would need to perform a vaginal ultrasound. After no Sac was visible from that, she confirmed that it was a molar pregnancy. In other words I was not pregnant, really. A girl in my sales unit who was a genetic specialist, had a masters degree in Genetics, told me that a complete mole was caused by an egg which contains no nucleus. That the fertilized ovum then divides but only contains male chromosomes, so it cannot become a child. The Nurse Midwife told me that I would need to have a D and C, and that it would be performed by the female OB-GYN in her practice, I had always used female OBGYN as it seemed to me that a male one is like a mechanic, that does not own a car. She performed the D and C roughly a week later, My Hcg levels then needed to be monitored until they returned to normal, which they did about 1 month later. I was told to wait at least one year before attempting pregnancy again, so we did. It sticks in my mind a moment where my husband was looking at me in tears and said, "everyone seems to forget that I lost a baby too."
I think it was in October 1994, I had just finished becoming a Director at Mary Kay, was driving a free Grand Am, was on target to win a Pink Cadillac, Had an off-spring director, and my period was late, I had had positive EPT results, and my period began the day of my appointment with a New OBGYN. She ran a pregnancy test anyway, wondering why the EPT had been positive. I do not know what the results were from this since I do not remember her name, and could not locate her after the below.
On November 4th, 1994, I was on an overnight with some co-workers. I have been told, since I do not remember about 2 months of this time, that they were having a difficult time awakening me. After calling my husband and explaining the situation they did as he demanded and called 911 immediately. I was then rushed to Trumbull county hospital, next to the Ohio-Pennsylvania border. Since they had no concept of why a 31-year-old woman would be in a coma and un-responsive, they proceeded to treat me for a drug overdose in ICU. I have been told that they are very lucky they didn't kill me with the things they did, wash my stomach out with charcoal, etc. My husband got to Trumbull hospital as fast as he could, I am sure this terrified him. I cannot imagine what it would be like for someone to tell me he is dying, and not have anything I could do about it. He tells me that, that is not exactly what was going through his mind, he had his brother go with him, and that by the time they arrived they had decided what had happened and why and had all of the problems worked out and solved, However, they were wrong.
ges, but no-one will pay me to do it.
